All who attended this drive will agree that Al and Laura Converse did a great job planning the day on a great route, destination and a fun theme to boot! A textbook  primer on how to lead a drive and coordinate lunch. The route was beautiful and Al lead the group at a "spirited" pace and everyone kept up, including Ed Foster in his TD at WOT (?) going up the hills! And nobody even got lost... We even picked up Peter de Jong and Jud Chapin (FBCC) in Saluda, looking forlorn in front of their (closed) BBQ hangout. Lunch at the Iron Key had good food, great service and plenty of beer. We all followed our own routes back home, but for us, it was a great ride back using the Tryon bypass and US 176 with its twisties going uphill. Thanks again to Al and Laura!

Laura and I are happy that so many terrific members could attend. Tonight we'll be celebrating with jail house wine!
Some additional random pics included.

Thanks all,
Al & Laura

After a very pleasant drive through beautiful countryside, when we arrived at the jail, we were pleasantly surprised to find tasty appetizers awaiting us. The veggies, cheese dip and pita bread were a treat from Al and Laura. This was greatly appreciated; thank-you both very much.

Kind regards, John and Jackie.
