For those who have never been to Switzerland, the country is defined by “The Sound of Music,” mountains, cheese, and cowbells. For those lucky enough to have visited, it is defined by incredible beauty, mountains, cheese, cowbells, and sticker shock. Here in Western North Carolina, we have our very own Little Switzerland, which is defined by not being all that much like the real Switzerland but a pretty nice place to visit anyway. And BCCWNC will do just that.

We will depart Hendersonville in the morning and take a beautiful route along back roads through Bat Cave and Old Fort before arriving in Little Switzerland. Once there, we will have lunch on the patio at the Chalet Restaurant. Following lunch, we will visit Emerald Village before heading back, via a route that is mostly different from the one we followed to Little Switzerland. We will make a rest stop during each half of the trip.
